The inhabitants of the area, which includes the entire province of Lecce<\/strong>, almost all of Brindisi<\/strong> and part of Taranto<\/strong>, are distinguished above all by glottological characteristics compared to the rest of the current administrative region of Puglia. From a historical point of view, Salento has been part of the ancient district called Terra d'Otranto<\/strong> for many centuries.
The Salento peninsula is the easternmost territory of Italy and Punta Palasc\u00eca<\/strong> or Capo d'Otranto<\/strong> constitutes its eastern end, 72 km away from Albania across the Strait of Otranto. According to nautical conventions, the ideal direction that separates the Ionian Sea from the Adriatic Sea starts from Punta Palasc\u00eca.<\/p>

autostrada A14 Bologna – Bari<\/strong>, uscita Bari Nord<\/strong> percorrere la superstrada Brindisi-Lecce<\/strong>, prima di arrivare a Lecce<\/strong> imboccare la tangenziale ovest<\/strong>, uscita per Gallipoli<\/strong> (Statale 101) quindi proseguire in direzione Gallipoli-S.M. di Leuca<\/strong> sulla Statale 274 fino all’uscita Salve-Pescoluse-Torre Pali<\/strong>, svoltare a sinistra per Torre Pali-Pescoluse<\/strong> e continuare sulla S.P. 339 per 2,6km, svoltare a destra e dopo 170m svoltare di nuovo a destra, 120m e siete arrivati a Tenuta Serre;

L’aeroporto pi\u00f9 vicino \u00e8 quello di Brindisi <\/strong>e si trova a circa 100 Km da Pescoluse<\/strong>, mentre l\u2019aeroporto di Bari <\/strong>\u00e8 a 200 km.
